The Armstrong Middle School Tiger Techs Win Video Contest
On Monday night, the Armstrong Tiger Techs were awarded the "Outstanding Program" award for their video submission in the "What's So Cool About Manufacturing Contest". Schools from Philadelphia, Montgomery and Bucks counties submitted entries for the competition and were adjudicated by judges such as Matt Lewis (PBS), Matt O'Donnell (Action News) and many others.
The contest is sponsored by the Manufacturing Alliance of Philadelphia and is designed to bring awareness to the various career opportunities that exist in the manufacturing industry throughout our region. The Armstrong Tiger Techs partnered with New Age Industries which is a hose and tube manufacturer based in Southhampton, PA. The students shot their footage in December and January and then worked with editors from PBS during the post-production phase of the project.
You can view the Armstrong and FDR submissions by visiting this link and scrolling down to their school's videos: http://dreamitdoitpa.com/contests/2017-philly-contest/

Digital Promise I-Pad Initiative

Thanks to the kindness of Verizon and Digital Promise, Armstrong was fortunate enough to receive brand new I-Pads for the students at Armstrong to help our students to continue to move forward academically. However, in order for us to roll-out the I-Pads, we need to ensure that all students and parents have filled out and returned all required paperwork as well as paying for the insurance on the tablet. Students were all given the paperwork last week. If you did not receive the papers, please click on the links below to view/print off the documents. Thanks so much for your help!
